Whats New?

Gorillaz Video Screening : Gathered in a small studio in London’s Soho, you have to wonder what could possibly be so impressive about the new Gorillaz video that Britain’s journalists have been shepherded together for a screening. New single “On Melancholy Hill”...
Introducing : Glass Animals : www.4ortherecord.com hit fever pitch this weekend when not 1 but 2 new tracks from the incredible Glass Animals graced our inbox with their presence...
David's Lyre : Masked troubadour, David's Lyre is, like his semi-hidden aesthetic, somewhat of a mystery at present. Although if fairness exists in the world at all...
Frankie & The Heartstrings : Interview : Sometimes, (not often mind), you go to see a band with a vague sense of expectation, born from nothing more than early releases and odd pieces of press, only for, by some twist of fate, this band you considered “fairly decent” until now to prove one of the...
Lunar Youth : Interview : Lunar Youth make the kind of music that makes your heart skip a beat as the emphasis on romance engulfs you in a warm flurry of emotion. It’s really rather lovely. Their nostalgic take on pop, reminiscent of the 80’s penchant for...

T2 feat. Michelle Escoffery: 'Come Over'

T2 feat. Michelle Escoffery: 'Come Over'

I remember when I was about 15/16 years old, I was into UK Garage music and every Sunday I’d listen to the Dreem Teem on Radio 1. Listening to T2 makes me feel 15 again. And whilst I don’t really listen to much Garage music anymore, I do really like the stuff T2 has put out so far.

New single, ‘Come Over’ features Michelle Escoffery who many moons ago appeared on one of Artful Dodger’s tracks, Think About Me. Her voice is pretty distinctive and an asset to Garage music.

This is a track that will no doubt go down well in clubs, plus the remixes are just as good as the original – in particular the Skye Blue remix.

T2 has also made a name remixing other peoples tracks, working with artists like Kelly Rowland, Kate Nash and J Holiday to name but a few. And recent opportunities have seen him ditching working with Cheryl Cole in favour of Alesha Dixon. Make of that what you will readers!

T2 is only 20 years old yet he’s been making music since he was only 13.  This Leeds native knows his stuff; mixing Garage music with the organ house sounds that ripped through the Leeds dance scene.  He knows how to put the two together and how to do it well.

A few years ago, DJs wouldn’t play T2’s tracks because they didn’t seem to fit in to their sets. However, something tells me he won’t be having this problem anymore.
