Innerpartysystem : 'Heart of Fire' EP
.jpg)
Heavy drum beats, scratchy guitars and an electronic scuttling beetle sound are the key ingredients for Innerpartysystem’s latest release, ‘Heart of Fire.’
The title track is pretty decent to be honest – there’s a mathematical drumbeat, some crazy keyboards and if you listen really closely there’s the sound of a vortex portal to another world; a world where you dance your pants off to this Pennsylvanian quartet’s beats.
‘Night is Alive’ is pure dirty electro. A Prodigy/Pendulum sounding sweep and a filthy synth grind mask the ultimate – these guys are really a rock band at heart. The guitars grind and the drums drill deep into your brain.
One track that is stand out is ‘The Way We Move’ that sounds like a mash-up between The Medic Droid, Metro Station and The Secret Handshake. It’s throbbing electronic at its best and it demands you to “d-d-dance with me” but this is no copycat material. It’s like a second wave of something that’s never been heard before.
