InMe : Single of The Weak

Released: Out Now!!!
Label: Graphite Records
It’s hard to believe a band like InMe still appear to be working their way up the ranks of British rock when all along they’ve had the makings of a band that should be headlining venues. Still this hasn’t stopped the band from pursuing that mainstream dream with their latest album ‘Herald Moth’ and plucked from that is the new single fittingly titled ‘Single of the weak’.
A little more daring and adventurous than past the bands back catalogue, after a perfectly riff-tastic opening, the verse jumps into this electronic cosmic vibe. InMe have used this sort of stuff before but never so heavily. Thankfully the stomping chorus hits you in the face with rip roaring pandemonium as lead singer Dave McPherson asks us “What’s that shit on the radio?”
Whether or not you think ‘Single of the Weak’ is a sign of InMe maturing or not, you cannot argue that they’ve kept the bits we love. Driving lead guitars, choruses that rival past hits like ‘7 Weeks’ and ‘Faster the chase’ and a glimmer of hope that not all British rock has become un-distorted indie Topshop pop trash.
