Editors Ramblings - Live and Kicking

With the unfortunate launch of yet another series of Big Bro this week and another bunch of wannabees its hopefully enough to make people turn off their tv’s and stick on la radio or to even venture out and catch a gig. 

A summer of amazing festival line-ups and tours has begun and live music is more than ever at the forefront of things to look forward to.  It doesn’t matter where in the country you are there is something every night to see if you want it!  And if you don’t want to go out then radio djs like Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq are making new music even more accessible and are giving emerging acts the chance to be played or perform live sessions for the stations. Exciting stuff right?  I thinkso.

Get out from behind your tv/laptop and the allure of myspace music and actually put your support behind your favourite artists and go see them play.  There is nothing quite like a live show to really make you appreciate the “buzz” that everyone talks about surrounding one band or another; it really isn’t just a term the entire music industry has coined for no reason!!! 

New personal fav’s include thecocknbullkid, The Real Heat, Times New Viking and S.C.U.M.

Anyways the sun is finally shining, which means only one thing, beer anyone???
