Camp Bestival : Last few Camping Tickets Left

Camp Bestival News Alert

*** Less Than 500 Weekend Camping Tickets Left ***

Camping tickets for Camp Bestival 2009 are very nearly sold out, so we thought we’d drop you a full round-up of the fun to come. If you haven’t got your tickets please hurry! These last ones will fly out so don’t be a slow coach and miss out on our award winning spectacular!

(Non camping and day tickets will still be available)

Plus, latest news from the camp…

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and the River Cottage Cafe -what they’ll be up to at Camp Bestival

Plus we set the scene for what promises to be so much more than just a firework display - it’s the

‘Son et Lumière Spectacular’ featuring

Rob da Bank, The English National Ballet and

pyrotechnic wizards ‘The World Famous’!

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall’s River Cottage Café and other scrumptious food – just call us ‘Camp Feastival’!

Much-loved chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall brings a taste of the River Cottage to Camp Bestival. There’ll be drop in food workshops for kids including sausage making, seed planting and bread making. A full seasonal organic menu will also be available to buy all weekend, including the famous River Cottage ice cream and River Cottage Stinger, their own locally brewed organic nettle beer, plus organic fruit drinks.

Other highlights from our huge selection of culinary delights include Pizza Tabun, who will also be organising pita-making workshops for the little ones each morning, local stalwarts Henry's Beard Cafe, The Sushi Yurt, delicious tartiflette and French crepes from La Grande Bouffe (The Big Nosh), fresh fish & chips courtesy of The Sea Cow, and lovely handmade pies from both Pure Pie and Pieminister. There will also be a Camp Bestival General Store and local Farmers Market, providing local produce to campers and traders alike.

The incomparable ‘Son et Lumière’ extravaganza - with very special guests!

After Chic’s performance on the main stage on Sunday night the English National Ballet will perform a stunning piece of contemporary dance to Rob da Bank’s DJ set. This piece segues into a choreographed light and firework spectacular using Lulworth Castle as its centrepiece, with fireworks being launched from behind and on-top of the building. brought to you by the World Famous (the best pyrotechnic innovators in the UK) expect strobing white flares, glittering silver fish swim in the sky fired from massive cakes on the roof, the castle turning red as noisy crackling fountains erupt, performers swinging waterfall units around their head, gentle cascading spirals of silver intertwining with the music before high pitched whistles shoot from the roof and the whole shebang climaxes with a multicolored celebration of music and fire. Crikey, it’s gonna be pant wettingly good!

And here’s a reminder of some of the other amazing things we have jam packed into three days at a castle by the sea:

Camp Bestival is much more than a music festival but even so, here are just a few of the amazing music makers due to light up the weekend...
